I think that just about sums it up.
Don't expect the Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. The room was in pretty bad condition. There were holes in the wall, a crazy fridge, and holes in the comforter. I knew what I was walking into. They did a decent job of keeping the room clean. There were clowns everywhere and I got the last room around 10pm. Nothing in the town is open after 10 if you want to eat. I enjoyed it. Check out the cemetery next door. It's fascinating.
The scary cemetery next door is a great place to meet people, and it's filled with cats to boot!
It's a haunted, clown-themed motel in BFE, Nowhere. If that description doesn't appeal to you, the motel probably won't either! Very easy to reserve a room over the phone and get the key after-hours (the 24hr Texaco has great tamales). Awesome rates. Yes, it needs love and everything is amusingly out-dated but the room was clean - though sadly and disappointingly lacking a single clown - and we slept well. Bob was great to talk to and have a cup of coffee with the next morning, his breakfast recommendation of The Station was spot-on. We'd definitely stay again, and hope someone buys it and gives it the love it needs and deserves!
Buy a 6 pack from Tonopah Brewing and explore it yourself.
It ain't the Ritz, it's a clown themed motel.
Had a fantastic visit, owner and staff are friendly and attentive. I stayed in the suit and though a bit rustic had a wonderful stay. The beds were comfortable and the room came with a mini fridge a microwave and a nice large screen tv. Free WiFi was included and the rates were very reasonable. I love ghost stories and this hotel was perfect for some spooky fun with a unique theme and being located right next to an old graveyard. If you are looking for some spooky fun in an interesting area with lots of interesting historical ties I highly recommend the clown hotel.
10/10.
The staff was nice and helpful. The room was clean, but needed a lot of maintenance. The threshold between the room and bathroom was duct tape. The fan in the bathroom squealed so loudly that you couldn't use it. The shower water pressure was good, but I couldn't get the temperature above warm. The air conditioner wouldn't stay running constantly. The pillows on the bed were the most uncomfortable pillows that I've seen. The motel is neat, but the clown theme doesn't really extend to the rooms. It has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work to get there. You're probably better off stopping and checking out the lobby and signs outside then getting a room elsewhere.
