When your charged $68 and booked into a motel room they should tell you the TV is down motel wide and the phones dont work along with the printer, internet, CC machine, and booking computer.......etc. etc. Not to mention a discount if you stay anyway!!
I think im going to Tonopah Station from now on!!!!
If I could give no stars I would. My work put me up in this S*** hole for a week due to it was the only motel in Tonopah that had 4 rooms available. The first room I was in was extremely small the bathroom was the size of an RV bathroom, floor smelled like wet dog the whole week we were there none of our bedding was changed. I always put an X with a pencil on my sheets when I first get to a room 6 days latter still has an X. From day 1 to day 6 there was no cable tv in any of the rooms we asked daily if they were going to fix it and the response was if they get time. My coffee was never replaced I even put the container by the sink and all the maid did was set it back on the microwave. I travel all over the US for work at this was by far the worst place I ever had to stay.
When I got to the room the TV had nothing on it! It was on but just snowstorm. I picked up the room phone and dialed "O" and phone just beeped at me! Phones not working! I had to walk to office to complain. She said TV, phones were not working but the part to fix it was here in this box and she was waiting for maint to show up!!
The room was dirty. Someone else's bandaid left on bathroom floor. Dirty washcloth left on the floor at the door. Beds are rock hard. Front desk personnel was extremely slow, took 30 minutes to check in. The bathroom faucet did not allow for cold water, only hot. Had chosen this hotel over others due to previous reviews. Mistake.
I guess we stayed in the only non haunted hotel in this one horse town. Had we known the clown motel was there we would've stayed there. Lol I have a feeling that non of the hotels here are exactly luxury. I also found this town super creepy from the time we drove in. We didn't even realize where we were until the next day when we were driving out, Because we passed the clown hotel and we recognized it from ghost adventures. Then realized the hotel right next to where we stayed was featured on ghost adventures, too.
I travel Nevada for a living and I've been using Jim Butler for a while but it has been going downhill lately. I've regularly seen leaking faucets, poor maintenance ie: shower curtains improperly hung, etc. Internet is so slow as to be almost unusable. This seems to be a trait in Tonopah town wide! The rooms are usually clean and decent, however today took the cake. When I checked in I told them I needed a printout reciept for my company credit card. They couldn't because the printer was down, no cartridges. So I took the CC tape printout. This took a long time because the internet was not good!
The front desk staff was kind of grumpy.
They under pay their staff enormously and think they are justified with doing this because they pay something called piece work. Which is fine if the still pay at least min wage. Which they do not.
