Traveling with horses from az-or tire fell off my trailer near tonopah was recommended to here. Two days later my horses and I are still stuck in this town and they would not even look at my trailer rude employee and terrible hospitality
Pulled us out of a jam. Quick service. Friendly. Fair price
My car was towed up to this shop at 4AM on the morning on the morning of March 24th, with a blown clutch and a clutch kit in hand. Come 8AM, the employees assured me that not only would they be able to fix my car same day but my car would be moving under its own power that evening. Elated, my friend and I headed up the road for some breakfast, anxious to leave Tonopah as soon as possible. After seeing everything there was to see in town, we returned to the shop around close; just to hear Dave cussing as he was working on my car swearing something wasn’t quite right about the clutch system. After reinstalling the Clutch Master Cylinder, Dave attempted to actuate the clutch and ultimately snapped the head off my Master Cylinder. Dave gave me a sliver of hope and told me there might be a Master Cylinder in Bishop, CA the next day but not to get my hopes up. We paid for a motel, and found a different solution just in case the part did not arrive in Bishop. Sure enough, the part was not available and my buddy and I headed south in Dave’s car [after putting $50 of gas into it], pointed towards Las Vegas. After arriving in LV, Dave called and told me that he had put in my throw-out bearing in backwards and that is what caused the Master Cylinder to break in the first place, and I had to buy a replacement. There was a miscommunication at some point which resulted in me buying a slave cylinder instead, only to find out once we returned to Tonopah. Bob and Dave somehow rigged my Master Cylinder back together, I paid and the vehicle was again moving under its own power. BUT!! Here’s the thing, these goons somehow did not know how to research to replace a clutch correctly, and broke not only my brand-new throw-out bearing but also my perfectly functioning Master Cylinder. And when I asked for a break in price (to fund a new Master Cylinder because the original that had been glued back together wasn’t good enough, and to offset the additional costs caused by their poor workmanship), all I got back in response was a cheeky “you got a free car rental, how about that?”. Unacceptable. Mind you I drive a Hyundai Elantra, nothing exotic. If I don’t get a just response from this posting, I will escalate to the BBB and whatever else I can think of.
Fixed a fuel leak and found and fixed a steering issue. Great guys!
If ya ever break down call these guys....tell em Candy sent ya.....
The crew in Tonopah are awesome .....Thank you so much for everything re my car....
