Also, the sauces are disgusting. All of them. I tried them all. They're nasty.
The brisket is slow cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The menu says it's a 6 ounce serving but they give you more than this. I've found this true for their other portions as well: they are generous with them. The beans have a rich, balanced flavor between savory and sweet. The slaw is also well seasoned: Not too rich but satisfying. I have not tried the beer but they have a blackboard behind the bar with all of their seasonal beers written down and information about them. You can see people working in the back brewery making the beer in the large vats. This is a nice place to stop on a long trip. It will likely fill you up and satisfy your taste buds.
BTW, don't forget to order some Root Beer. Quite yummy and not too sweet.
Honestly have to say it was the worst BBQ I ever had. Had the BBQ chicken and it tasted like mashed potatoes. The waitress was extremely nice through. However she was the only person working the whole place; bar and tables. And the beer is far from the best! Taste like old tap water.
Raw food, slow service, no refills (none offered, anyways). Wish my phone hadn't been dead, or else I would have snapped a picture of the bloody chicken. I own chickens that are closer to death than what I was served.
The fries taste pretty good. Maybe that's just because everything else was horrendous, but I'll give the fries a solid 3/5.
Delicious beer. The .999 is an excellent non-fruity bitter IPA. Not enough breweries create this. Stopped after 186 mile desert trek from Ely via motorbike. Great stop.
Nice assortment of good food and beer. Friendly and attentive server-ette who was fun to horse with. Nice outdoor eating area to watch people and traffic go by.
